Dr. Selina Burt is a board-certified family medicine physician. She is originally from Louisiana and as an Air Force brat also lived in Hawaii and Texas. She received her medical training in Missouri at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and at the University of Wyoming Family Medicine Residency Program in Casper. Before attending medical school, she studied lizards and received a Masters’ degree in Biology from Angelo State University in Texas; she also worked as a cytogenetic technologist and as a research coordinator. The experience that medical students get here may encourage them to pursue rural family medicine; perhaps even returning to our community someday to practice! The four physicians are University of Washington faculty and have close supervision of the medical students.
