Each November our registered dietitian and registered nurse offer free fasting glucose screenings to the public in recognition of American Diabetes Month. We screened several community members for both diabetes and high blood pressure each November. This event is for participants 18 years or older that haven't been screened for diabetes in the last 4 months. Please join us November 10th from 7am-9am. This year we'll be providing a free diabetes seminar the same evening. The seminar will provide information, training, and cover topics for diabetics and their loved ones. It will be taught by a certified diabetic counselor, Cynthia Nickerson, from Bartlett Hospital.
November is also National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month with this year November 1-7th being National Memory Screening Week. In partnership with the Alzheimer's Foundation of America we provided free memory screenings to the community on Monday November 7th from 10am-12pm.
